Copper Canyon Air-Train Tours
five day tour
Wednesday Day One
 You
will arrive at Los Mochis International Airport where you will be
met by one of our representatives. From here you will travel in
an air conditioned van or suburban to the northern Town of El Fuerte.
El Fuerte (the fort) is one of the oldest towns in the state. It
was organized in 1564 as the regional capital of Mexico.
You will spend the night at the Lake Domingues Lodge which also
serves as base camp for our hunting operations. Dinner will be server
at the Lodge.
Thursday Day Two
 After
a hearty breakfast you will take a short walking tour of the Town
where you will visit the town Square, The Fort and our 400 year
old church with its 3 foot thick walls. You will also have a chance
to purchase film or any personal items from the Pharmacy.
Upon returning to the lodge you will have time to organize your
baggage and enjoy a light lunch. You will then be taken to the airport
for your flight to the Copper Canyon. The flight is about an hour
flying the Canyon Route. You will pass over the  City
of Choix and then over the World Famous Bass Fishing Lake, Lake
Huites, home of Lake Huites Lodge. You will be able to view the
Canyon in its entireness and see just how expansive it is.
You will arrive at a small air field just outside of Posada del
Baranca. A Hotel van will meet you and take you to the 4 star hotel
El Mirador. The Hotel is actually built on the edge of the Canyon.
Each room is equipped with a balcony overlooking the Canyon. Dinner
will be served at the Hotel.
Friday Day Three
 After
breakfast in the morning you will board a tour bus for the short
trip to Creel. Here you will visit the ancient cave dwellings of
the Tarahumara Indians. You can browse the different shops and watch
the Indian Women weave baskets. (a box lunch is provided)
You will then return to the Hotel, relax and enjoy your diner.
(all meals while at the Hotel Mirador are included in the package)
Saturday Day Four
 In
morning you will be served breakfast and have open time to browse
around or just relax and enjoy the scenery. After Lunch you will
be taken to the train station and board the train for your trip
south through the canyon. The ride is spectacular passing over 36
bridges and through 86 tunnels. Make sure you have plenty of film.
You will arrive at El Fuerte at approximately 7:30 P.M. A hotel
van will meet you and return you to the Lake Domingues Lodge where
diner will be prepared for you.
Sunday Day Five
 After
breakfast you will be driven to the Los Mochis airport for your
trip Home. Those people wishing to fish with us at Lake Huites Lodge
will be flown to the lodge in the Morning. Family members not wishing
to fish will have the option of returning home our taking advantage
of our three day El Fuerte tour.
