 The
Copper Canyon is one of the most popular and spectacular trips you
will make in your live time. The Canyon, some four times larger
than the Grand Canyon, is located in Seirra Madra Mountains in the
State of Chihuahua. Our unique Air-Train Tours provide our customers
more opportunities to enjoy different activities rather spending
eight hours looking at the same scenery on a repeat train ride.
The Copper Canyon offers its visitors spectacular views along
with a wide range of other interesting things to do. Bird watchers
will enjoy spotting some of the more than 5000 species of birds
that inhabit the Canyon.
The local Indian Tribe is the Tarahumaras. The tribe is world famous
for their endurance running abilities. The say this comes from their
old deer hunting practices where they would actually run a deer
until it was exhausted and collapsed. Century old cliff dwellings
can be visited. You will see how the natives have maintained their
culture and their customs for centuries.
 Our
company utilizes only the finest hotels available. All the Hotels
we utilize in the Canyon are at least 4 star and three meals a day
are provided to our guests. Transfers to and from the airplane or
train are also included in the tour. Depending on the tour you choose,
side trips to the cliff dwellings and to the canyon base are also
included.
We operate our own STOL 12 passenger aircraft to transport our
customers. The aircraft is one of the safest made and is commanded
by two highly qualified and certified pilots. The plane travels
the canyon route offering spectacular views not available from the
ground.
Our customers, depending on the tour, make either the north bound
or south bound trip on the train. The train operated by the Chihuahua
Pacific railway winds through the canyon crossing some 37 bridges
and through some 86 different tunnels. The train bed itself is an
engineering master piece to be marveled.
