Copper Canyon Air-Train Tours
seven day tour
Sunday Day One
 You
will arrive at Los Mochis International Airport where you will be
met by one of our representatives. From here you will travel in
an air conditioned van or suburban to the northern town of El Fuerte.
El Fuerte (the fort) is one of the oldest towns in the state. It
was organized in 1564 as the regional capital of Mexico.
You will spend the night at the Lake Domingues Lodge which also
serves as base camp for our hunting operations. Dinner will be server
at the Lodge.
Monday Day Two
 After
a hearty breakfast you will be taken to the Train station for a
7:30 departure northbound through the Copper Canyon. The ride is
spectacular passing over 36 bridges and through 86 tunnels. Make
sure you have plenty of film. You will arrive at Cerocahui at approximately
5:00 P.M. A hotel van will take you on a brief 30 minute drive to
the 4 star Hotel Mission where diner will be prepared for you.
Tuesday Day Three
 After
breakfast in the morning you will board a tour bus for the base
of the Canyon. Here you will visit a small village that has maintained
its culture and customs for centuries.
The trip is very much like a trip back in time. You will return
to the hotel and have lunch. After lunch you will be taken to the
train to continue your trip northbound. You will arrive at the station
Posada del Baranca where a hotel staff member will meet you. He
will take you to the 4 star hotel Mirador. You will have time to
check in relax a little and diner will be served.
Wednesday Day Four
 After
breakfast in the morning you will board a tour bus for the short
trip to Creel. Here you will visit the ancient cave dwellings of
the Tarahumara Indians. You can browse the different shops and watch
the Indian Women weave baskets. (a box lunch is provided)
You will then return to the Hotel, relax and enjoy your diner.
Thursday Day Five
Sleep in a little if you wish, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and
stroll around enjoying the sights. After lunch you will be taken
to the small airfield and board our private plane to El Fuerte.
The plane will take the canyon route providing you with an all new
perspective of the incredible Canyon. You will be met at El Fuerte
Airport by one of our staff and taken once again to the Lake Domingues
Lodge.
Friday Day Six
 After
a hearty breakfast you will take a short walking tour of the Town
where you will visit the town Square, The Fort and our 300 year
old church with its 3 foot thick walls. You will return to the lodge
for lunch. After lunch a van will pick you up and take you to the
river where you will enjoy a river ride on a jet boat. Here you
will see all types of bio-diverse vegetation and many species of
birds. After the ride you will be returned to the hotel for diner
and relaxing with a frozen Margarita.
Saturday Day Seven
After breakfast you will be driven to the Los Mochis airport for
your departure.
