Copper Canyon Air-Train Tours
the train

Copper Canyon Tours - Sinaloa, MexicoThe train that runs from El Fuerte to Chihuahua is called Chepe. The Company was privatized some years ago and is presently jointly owned by an United States Company and a Mexican Company. The train travels a route north out of El Fuerte, across Lake Huites and into the Copper Canyon. The two principal stops in the Canyon are Cerocahui and Posada del Baranca.

The train itself is quite modern and comfortable. A dining car is attached for your convenience. Due to the many switch backs and curves the train travels at a slow pace. Passengers can easily walk around and stand on the platforms between the cars.
